Ronald Harold Brady († March 27, 2003 in Sloatsburg, USA)[1][2] was a US philosopher. He was the first philosopher to defend pattern cladistics as an independent scientific field.[3] Pattern cladistics purport to classify biological taxa in a way that is theory-neutral.[4] Ronald Brady concerned himself with the philosophical foundations and practice of phenomena-centered science. He made substantial contributions to the study of evolutionary morphology and systematics, while also pursuing fundamental issues in epistemology.[5] He has worked in the field of goethean science and with anthroposophy. He was one of the speakers and editor of the first volume of the conference lectures of the symposium Man-centered Physiological Science and Medicine that took place in Herdecke, Germany in 1973.[6]
