This template, like some other formatting templates is a workaround for wiki markup behavior.

In this case, it allows a colon to terminate a minor title-line (i.e. in definition lists) begun with a semi-colon.

This template is based (in parts) on the Template:!: from the free encyclopedia wikipedia and is licensed under GNU license for free documentation and the Creative Commons Attribution/Share Alike.
