Lubassa Matumona Djuma Esperanca
Semi-finalist light heavyweight in 2nd Games of Central Africa in Luanda 1981
Boxing at the 2d Games of Central Africa Angola 1981 –light heavyweight
Like all Olympic boxing events, the 2d Games of Central Africa competition was a straight single-elimination tournament. This event consisted of 18 boxers who have qualified for the competition through various qualifying tournaments held in 1981 in Angola. The competition began with a preliminary round on 20 August , where the number of competitors was reduced to 6, and concluded with the final on 3 September 1981. As there were fewer than 18 boxers in the competition, a number of boxers received a bye through the preliminary round. Both semi-final losers were awarded bronze medals.
All bouts consisted of three rounds of three minutes each, with one-minute breaks between rounds. Punches scored only if the white area on the front of the glove made full contact with the front of the head or torso of the opponent. Five judges scored each bout; three of the judges had to signal a scoring punch within one second for the punch to score. The winner of the bout was the boxer who scored the most valid punches by the end of the bout.

Printworthiness
Please do not alter the printworthy settings of this rcat without first notifying the Version 1.0 Editorial Team, who are responsible for any and all materials, including redirects, that go into a printed version of Wikipedia. |
- This rcat is used to tag redirects in template namespace, so this is just an information note about printworthiness. In main-article namespace, many redirects are considered unprintworthy; however, there are many others that are printworthy, so for some rcats there is no default sort for printworthiness. In 2003, efforts were begun to support the Wikimedia Foundation's goal of increasing access and availability of Wikipedia articles in printed versions. Some rcats automatically populate either Category:Printworthy redirects or Category:Unprintworthy redirects by default and others don't. That means it is up to editors to choose which of those categories, Printworthy or Unprintworthy, is appropriate and should be populated. The rcats that are used separately to populate those categories are:
{{R printworthy}}
and{{R unprintworthy}}
- Please click on each one for more details and guidance.
- Template {{Redirect category shell}} will accept these rcats just like any other.
- Examples:
{{Rcat shell| {{R printworthy}} }} {{Rcat shell| {{R unprintworthy}} }}
- Either {{Redirect category shell}} or its alias/shortcut, {{Rcat shell}}, may be used.
