This is a documentation subpage for Template:Script/Cuneiform. It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
Template intended to force fonts that support the two Cuneiform Unicode blocks.
Usage
known fonts:
- Akkadian[1] (automatically provided as webfont if the Language Selector is enabled)
- Noto Sans Cuneiform by Google[2]
- Free Idg Serif[3] (Old Assyrian)
- CuneiformNA [4] (Neo Assyrian)
Optionally, two parameters can be used. In this case, the first parameter is either
- a number from 1 to 7, specifying the historical stage preferred, per Image:SAG.png:
- archaic pictogram, around 3000 BC.
- rotated pictogram, around 2800 BC.
- abstracted glyphs in archaic monumental inscriptions, from ca. 2600 BC
- Classical Sumerian cuneiform as written in clay, from ca. 2600 BC
- Neo-Sumerian, late 3rd millennium
- Old Assyrian, early 2nd millennium, as adopted into Hittite.
- Neo-Assyrian, early 1st millennium
- This is so far supported only for (4) to (7), for lack of fonts for the other stages.
- or an ISO 639-2/ISO 639-3 language code

for transliterations of cuneiform, and {{transl|sux|...}}
