The Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine is a U.S.-based organization that promotes holistic integrative medicine. Its goal is to incorporate traditional, complementary, and integrative medical approaches into the health care system.[1]

It went through various renamings and changes from the American Holistic Medical Association organization founded in 1978. Those involved at that time included C.Norman Shealy, Gladys Taylor McGarey, Bill McGarey, Gerald Looney, and Evarts Loomis.[2]
