The Society of Anthroposophic Physicians in Germany [Gesellschaft Anthroposophischer Ärztinnen und Ärzte in Deutschland (GAÄD)] is the only medical-scientific professional society for the therapeutic direction of anthroposophic medicine in Germany. It has the form of a registered association and was founded on 01.11.1953. It takes care of the concerns of science, research, as well as teaching in the form of education, training and continuing education. In 2021 it was renamed from "Gesellschaft Anthroposophischer Ärzte in Deutschland" to also include the female form (Ärztinnen) for physicians.
Additional designation "Anthroposophic Medicine (GAÄD)".
The GAÄD certifies the field of continuing medical education in anthroposophic medicine by awarding the additional designation "Anthroposophic Medicine (GAÄD)".[1] The corresponding conditions are described in the recognition regulations, which are currently in their 15th version and cover a total of 1000 hours of theoretical and practical continuing education.[2]
