The Hufeland Vademecum is a website of the german Hufeland Society and the Havelhöhe Research Institute (FIH) on experiences in the field of complementary and integrative medicine. The focus is on a systematic collection and making available of case reports. The submitted cases go through an evaluation and approval process by medical experts. There is a cooperation with the Vademecum of Complementary Medicine. The platform has been active since March 2017. It is headed by Harald Matthes, board member of the Hufeland Society and head of the FIH. It is coordinated through the Hufeland Society.[1][2]
With the Vademecum, the Hufeland Society aims to provide all physicians involved in integrative medicine procedures with a reference work that makes the existing empirical knowledge available in a structured and scientifically evaluated manner. A doccheck login is required for access. The Hufeland Vademecum follows on from a similar project in anthroposophic medicine, the Vademecum Anthroposophic Medicines.
