Matthias Girke (*1954[1]) is a specialist in internal medicine, diabetology and palliative medicine and an anthroposophic physician.[2] He is a co-founder of the Havelhöhe Community Hospital, where he was head physician of general internal medicine[1] for over 21 years from 1995[2]. From 1999 he was executive director of the Society of Anthroposophic Physicians in Germany. In 2001 he joined the executive board of the Dachverband Anthroposophische Medizin in Deutschland (DAMID) and became a member of the Dialogforum Pluralismus in der Medizin[2] at the Bundesärztekammer. Since September 2016[1], together with Georg Soldner, he has headed the medical section of the School of Spiritual Science at the Goetheanum.
